Tooled Up For School is a Midlands-wide
project designed to highlight the issues surrounding knives in
our schools. Comprising dramatic presentations, musical
productions, and provocative DVDs, the project is sponsored by
West Midlands Police and featured a wide variety of artistic
talents bringing messages to school children across the region.
Why do school pupils carry knives? What do
those who don't keep quiet about those who do? What are the
effects of knives in schools, and what has happened to people
who carry them or who are attacked with them? These are
important questions and no one can answer them better than the
students themselves. Tooled Up For School is about using the
arts to help kids answer the questions for themselves.
Tooled Up Fr School is abut making
communities safer. Sister Tree are proud to be involved. As well
as Sister Tree's thought-provoking and interactive dramatic
workshops, Birmingham rapper Witness has written and performed a
song for the project.
Designed for Keystages 3 and 4, Tooled Up
For School aims to reduce crime and improve emotional literacy.
